Israeli forces detained, Sunday night and Monday at dawn, many Palestinian civilians during military incursions into various towns in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Information Center reported.
Local sources stated that Israeli troops detained Osaid Asida from his home in Tell town, southwest of Nablus in the northern West Bank.
Occupation soldiers stormed the villages of Qusra and Qaryut in southern Nablus and detained Nashaat Burhan and Qased Mousa.
In the southern West Bank city of Hebron, Israeli forces invaded and ransacked homes in Beit Ummar town before detaining Saber al-Najjar and Malek Abu Mariya from their homes.
Seven more Palestinians were taken prisoner during Israeli search campaigns throughout the Hebron Governorate.
In occupied East Jerusalem, the Israeli police forces stormed Hizma town and al-‘Isawiya neighborhood, which elicited confrontations between occupation forces and local youths.
One Palestinian youth was detained from his home in Shu’fat refugee camp, in East Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Prsioners’ Society (PPS) identified those detained from Hebron as former prisoners, they are Yahya Sadiq Jahshn, three brothers Samer Madia, Thaer Madia and Omar Madia, in addition to Muhammad Mahmud al-Saadah, Muhammad Helmy Aql, and Muhammad Saqr al-Bu.
It added that Thabit Thameen, from Yabad town in Jenin was detained, in addition to Muhammad Raed Barham, 23 from Kufur Qaddoum village, east of Qalqilia, in the northern West Bank.
The PPS identified the young man detained from the Shu’fat refugee camp, as Muhannad al-Bahri.
In related news, the Israeli police assaulted and detained a Palestinian young man, Sunday, at the al-Aqsa Mosque in the holy city, the Palestinian Information Center reported.
Eyewitnesses said Israeli officers assaulted and subdued the young man, identified as Sufiyan al-Rajbi, and took him to a detention center.
